Messaging with Siri

If you want to hear a message that is sent to you, Siri will dictate the content of the message. You can repeat the message, send a reply or even call the sender, simply tell Siri what to do.

When replying to a message, Siri will ask you what message you want to send. Siri will check the message with you and then you can either check again, change the message or ask Siri to send the message.

If you want to write a message, tell Siri what you want to do. For example: ‘Send message to my wife’. Then tell Siri the message which it will then repeat back to you before asking for confirmation so it can send the message.

Android Auto call

Using Android Auto in your car to make calls couldn’t be simpler. Tap on the phone icon on the screen and tell Google to call the person you want to talk to. When you have finished your call, press end on the touchscreen or the end call button on your steering wheel.

Apple CarPlay calls

Apple CarPlay uses the contacts on your iPhone to help you make calls when you’re on the move. Tap the Phone icon then tell Siri to call your contact. and when finished, simply tap end on the touchscreen or press the end call button on the steering wheel.

Apple Maps

Tap the Apple Maps icon to activate it and it will find your location. Finding a route couldn’t be easier. Press the voice command button on your steering wheel, or tap the microphone icon in the upper right hand of the screen to activate Siri and you can now ask it to find you your place or type of place such as a café or a particular address. Siri will then plot you a route, simply tap go.
