What is the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)?
The London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) currently covers Central London where a daily charge is applied to vehicles which do not meet a certain emission standard. On 29th August 2023, the 2023 London ULEZ expansion is set to expand to all London boroughs. Visit the GOV.UK website to see if your area is affected.
What are the charges for driving in the London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)?
The London ULEZ operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with the only exception of Christmas Day. For passenger cars which do not meet the emissions standards, there is a £ 12.50 daily charge.

How can I check if my car is ULEZ compliant?
Every Toyota that is a petrol or petrol-electric hybrid since January 2006 production is ULEZ compliant and exempt from the daily charge.
You can check if your vehicle is ULEZ compliant by entering your vehicle registration in the Transport for London (TFL) free vehicle checker. If your vehicle is not ULEZ compliant, there are some exemptions which are detailed here.

Who qualifies for the Government's ULEZ scrappage scheme?
The Government's ULEZ scrappage scheme has been expanded to cover all London resident residing within the 32 London boroughs which have been effected by the ULEZ expansion.
If you are the owner of a non compliant vehicle you could be elidable for the scrappage scheme where you receive up to £2,000 for scrapping your car.
